Set in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev during the chaotic winter of 1918?19, The White Guard, Bulgakov?s first fulllength novel, tells the story of a Russian-speaking family trapped in circumstances that threaten to destroy them. Första gången på bra länge som jag inte orkar igenom en hel bok. Är övertygad om att grundhistorian säkert är bra, men 2006 års upplaga är så dåligt översatt att jag helt enkelt inte kan med att läsa klart.
