Vad är antropologi? Ja, ett bra svar på den frågan får man i Thomas Hylland Eriksens bok "What is Anthropology?". Boken ger en kortfattad introduktion till antropologins begrepp, frågeställningar och historia. Det är en mycket lättläst bok och överlag pedagogiskt skriven. Dock tycker jag att författaren inte tillräckligt noga redogjort för vilka teorier och synsätt som är de allmänt vedertagna. Eftersom varje avsnitt även innehåller en del om antropologins historia så finns där både aktuella och inaktuella synsätt, och det är som läsare inte alltid så lätt att särskilja dessa. Men överlag en trevlig och bra bok!
