Medryckande och inlevelsefullt. Men jag förstår inte varför författaren valt att komponera tre olika berättelser i samma verk. Uppenbarligen är Yanagihara omskakad av pandemin och vill visa på dess röda tråd, men jag tycker det är synd att inte varje berättelse blev ett verk för sig. Alla gripande och medryckande, men för korta. Trots boken överskrider 760 sidor så finns det så mycket mer att berätta i respektive historia. Varför inte skriva tre böcker? För mig håller inte heller "mot paradiset" som en sista slutkläm på varje berättelse. Nåväl, jag läser fortfarande gärna mer av Yanagihara.
