This book is a freaking masterpiece. I can’t explain how much I love these characters and this story.
It's not often that I cry while reading. The only series I've cried while reading has been Harry Potter, ACOTAR, The Fault in our Stars. In these books I tear up every other chapter...literally 😂
There's something about the way Maas writes that makes me feel like I’m a part of the story and love the characters like they were my friends. Her characters aren't perfect and perhaps that is what makes them feel so real.
I'm not going to go into too much detail when it comes to the book as I don't want to spoil the series for you who haven't read it yet. But I gotta say that this series is a MUST to read. In “Queen of Shadows” Sarah J. Maas steps it up a notch and gives the characters more depth while also making them grow and evolve as people.
Aelin is finally ready to claim what's hers, Dorian is (literally) fighting his demon(s), Chaol tries to find out what's right and wrong and were he belongs in the upcoming war. While we get to know Rowan (bae), Lysandra, Nesryn and Aedion better and find out more about their pasts. Meanwhile Manon tries to figure out if she was born or made into a monster.
⭐️ I give "Queen of Shadows" by Sarah J. Maas 5/5 rattled stars! Don't hesitate to pick up the "Throne of Glass" series, the books only gets better and better.
