Fantastisk författare med ett härligt språk. Jag upplevde dock den här boken lite ojämn, ibland riktigt intressant men tidvis lite seg och ointressant. Jag kommer helt klart att testa fler böcker av Carol Shields som redan står olästa i bokhyllan. Den här gränsar mellan en stark 3:a och en svag 4:a
