hmmm... kategori deckare? Tycker att denna bok är så långt i från deckare man kan komma.

Gud så jag behövde den här just nu: efter en period så stressig att hjärtklappning och ytandning är normalläge var det som balsam för själen att få läsa om norrländsk bisterlandsbygd och fransk piskad kust med vildvuxna blomsterträdgårdar. Malmstens syrliga kommentarer och självklara iakttagelser piggar också upp, och även om jag nog inte alltid håller med henne politiskt (?) är hon så klok, skärpt och rolig att jag vill vara med henne. Vid ett annat tillfälle hade jag måhända tröttnat på att det gick för långsamt och var för lika, för lite, men nu var det bara underbart.

Jag läste boken för ett tag sedan men jag njöt. Jag njöt av språket och av tillkortakommanden. Jag minns att jag ibland låg i badkaret och läste och skrattade högt så att det ekade i badrummet. Således en bok som jag uppskattade.
