Sam Harris är alltid läsvärd och denna bok är inget undantag. Detta är ett logiskt steg i hans pågående kamp mot dåliga ideér; i denna bok representerade främst av moralrelativister och dogmatiskt religösa. Möjligen kan man säga att det han talar om som "Science" i titeln och boken är ganska brett; mer än kanske de flesta skulle hålla med om och verkar ibland inkorporera filosofin själv (se http://www.skeptic.com/eskeptic/11-02-02/#feature för en kritisk recension). Dock; även om man inte håller med Harris om allt så är han väldigt skarp, kristallklar och rolig.
