Jag älskade den här boken, som dock är lite krävande ibland. Det är många personer att hålla rätt på och romanen kräver lite bakgrundskunskap om Indien för att man ska hänga med i svängarna. Roy drar sig inte för att vara politisk och kritisera den indiska regeringen, att skildra de utsattas position och de privilegierades hänsynslöshet. Det är ett gediget arbete bakom denna roman, som jag saknade mycket när den var slut.
