Språket är fantastiskt på sitt eget hårdkokta sätt och det formligen dryper av snygga liknelser och beskrivningar av sakers tillstånd. Dock har själva mordgåtan i sig en hel del övrigt att önska. Inte alls särskilt bra som deckare betraktad, men många underbara one-liners och klockrena formuleringar.
