In "The Last Chance Hotel" we get to follow Seth Seppi. A young boy who is working as a chef for the Bunn's at The Last Chance Hotel. He's not happy with his life and is hoping to find a way out with the help of Dr. Thallonius, one of the guests that is soon to arrive. But when Dr. Thallonius is found dead after eating Seth's dessert everything changes.

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book and really liked Seth as a character, Nightshade was without a doubt one of my favorites! The guests that arrived to the hotel were all quite different and had unique names which made it a bit hard to figure out who was who at first. But I do understand why Thornton choose to have this many characters in the story, it makes it so much harder to figure out who killed Dr. Thallonius.

"The Last Chance Hotel" had twists that I didn't expect, which I really enjoyed and turns that I couldn't foresee.

Thornton's way of writing was good and I feel like there was a common thread throughout the whole story. I also very much enjoyed that magic was a part of the book.

⭐️ "The Last Chance Hotel" by Nicki Thornton gets 2.5/5 stars from me! I look forward to reading the next book in the series "The Bad Luck Lighthouse".
