En fantastisk bok om slaveriet i Sydstaterna. Otäck men också varmhjärtad. Om vänskapen mellan Trubbel (slav) och Sarah "ägare". Om ett lapptäcke med minnen och om hur vingarna ska växa ut och ge dem frihet. Om syskonen Sarah och Angelina Grimké , de första kvinnorna som reste runt och talade för slaveriets avskaffande. LÄS!

En historisk roman som inspirerats av Sarah Grimkés(1792-1873) liv. Hennes framväxande kamp mot kvinnoförtryck och för slaveriets avskaffandet. Mycket läsvärt för den som vill förflytta sig till Charleston och Philadelphia under 1800-talets första hälft.
