skulle åka till cardiff och ville läsa om cardiff och fann azzopardis gömstället, om fattiga, kriminella cardiff på 60- och 70-talet berättat ur en flickas perspektiv. språket var speciellt, fint. ibland svårt att förstå vad som hände och inte hände. nu har området som boken utspelar sig i gentrifierats och byggts bort. men fint att få en berättelse om det gamla.

Azzopardi har lyckats att väva ihop en vacker historia som vandrar mellan huvudpersonerna och dåtid/nutid, men hon lyckas göra det på ett sätt att man hänger med hela tiden och vill fortsätta läsa till slutet.
Mitt ex har en finare framsida än den som finns upplagd här som passar historien bättre.
