Det vill sig inte riktigt i den här romanen av Anne Enright. Det blir aldrig en historia som berör. Kanske för att vi känner igen historien, två gifta personer träffas och det känns som vi hört det här förut. Tillfälliga möten på hotellrum. Lögner om möten man måste åka till och detta bara för att få träffas. Trassligt blir det också sen när personerna skall försöka få ihop ett liv tillsammans.
