Hade precis läst Det röda fältet av Mo Yan när jag började på den här. Det blev lite trögt då i jämförelse med Mo Yan-fyrverkerierna! När jag vant mig vid tempot och McEwans engelska lågmäldhet så började den ta sig. Kärlekshistorien som irriterade mig först blev bokens tema och upplösningen på de sista sidorna är helt enkelt lysande!
