Jamie Ford kommer med ännu en både charmig och tragisk historia. Denna gång är navet hur kinesiska invandrare levde osäkert i USA vid den stora invandringen runt sekelskiftet 1800-1900. Kanske lite spretigt, men gripande och väl värd att läsa.

Intressant och läsvärt om livet i Chinatown, Seattle under 1920 och 1930 talet. De fördomar man hade. Jamie Ford är tyvärr inte någon stor författare. Huvudpersonerna skildras platt och inte så övertygande.
