Lånade boken för "nöjesläsning" då jag tycker sociologi är ett intressent ämne. Blev mörkrädd om denna bok används i undervisningen vid universitet. Möjligt att det har kommit ytterligare omarbetning sedan 2007, men tycker att i en bok som ska spegla dagens samhälle funkar det inte att ha undersökningar som är närmare 30 år gamla för att tex beskriva hur kvinnors situation ser ut på arbetsmarknaden. Det är en otroligt ouppdaterad bok, det är tydligt att man försökt modernisera boken genom att slänga in några kortare avsnitt som behandlar senare forskning, men man borde istället omarbetat hela boken. Eller snarare välja att läsa något som har ett mer brett perspektiv och som inser att världen har förändrats sedan 70-talet.
