Six ill-assorted people accept an invitation to make a journey to paradise. They have been brought together by a mysterious benefactor who has proposed that they make a television film of their journey. And because they are all in need of a job, they accept. They're a small team but full of a kind of contentious potential - director, cameraman, assistant cameraman, soundman, presenter, administrator - they know very little of where they are going, and they have even less idea of why they are going there. But, like modern day pilgrims, they set off to discover a place they only know by name, in this case, the real Arcadia, or what remains of it: the mythical Eden immortalised by Virgil with origins in Central Greece. Their journey begins in ignorance and chaos at Waterloo Station and takes them via superstition and legend to harmony.
