Dan Simmons jobbar bra med det klassiska greppet att låta ett gäng resande var och en berätta en berättelse. Alla sex griper i varandra på oväntade sätt och för deifinitvt historien framåt. Slutet tyckte jag dock blev en smula rumphugget men man kanske får se till att läsa uppföljaren istället. Har tidigare inte varit så imponerad av Simmons men här har han skapat ett riktigt intressant universum och den typ av SF som jag gillar -- inte alltför tekniskt.
