Los autos sacramentales are religious allegories mainly from Spain and Portugal set during the feast of Corpus Christi. This genre has an interesting role in the theatrical tradition of the West, as it coexisted, before disappearing, with an incipient and increasingly popular movement towards stories of individuals and worldly events.
