Fyra poäng med viss tvekan. Jag lade ned läsningen drygt halvvägs, måttligt imponerad, men tog upp den igen och insåg snart att den mycket intressanta idé som uppbär berättelsen blir tongivande först under den sista tredjedelen eller så av romanen. Dessförinnan är detta ett stilistiskt sofistikerat men lite trögflytande brottsmysterium i olustigt dåsig medelhavsmiljö. Lika fartfyllt och skandalöst som titeln (och de flesta omslag) antyder blir det nästan aldrig. Beröringspunkter med den mästerlige Houellebecq och dennes pessimistiska samhällsfilosofi finns. Sammantaget: spekulativ finlitteratur av näst högsta klass.
