Abdulrazak Gurnah från Zanzibar fick Nobelpriset i litteratur 2021, så kände mig manad att läsa något av honom. Valde ”Efterliv”, och… ja. Den är så otroligt späckad med text. Och långsam. Efter 250 sidor (av 330) skummade jag bara igenom resten eftersom den skulle tillbaka till bibblan. Jag drog mig för att läsa den och svävade iväg när jag väl läste, så jag antar att jag inte ger den något höjdarbetyg. Trots det är den inte dålig. Den är välskriven, har ett intressant tema (berättelsen utspelar sig de första årtionden i i tyska Östafrika).
