Utgavs 1991. Författaren är en skicklig stilist. En Alice Munro i romanform. Det blir lite för mycket att läsa om den supertråkiga Harriet Lytton. Jag kanske missade poängen eller så var vemodet och livets meningslöshet själva poängen.
